Secret Bases in Nevada's Basin and Range:
The Tonopah Test Range and Area 51

This expedition took the seven participants from Oakland, CA to the Tonopah Test Range and Groom Lake, NV (a.k.a. Area 51).

Leaving Oakland bright and early on July 30, our expedition had four major stops. We hiked “brainwash butte” in order to view the Tonopah Test Range, ate lunch at the Little A’Le’Inn in Rachel, NV, hiked Tikaboo Peak to see “Area 51,” and visited the border of Area 51.
